Tonight's Meeting

We voted to keep the Court Commissioner (advisory only) and voted down the Diebold machines.

Good meeting overall.

I will have a complete recap tomorrow.

Muchos Gratitude for your exceptional work in shining a light on the Diebold machines! I appreciate your work on this - and I am sure that I am not alone in this sentiment.

Next meeting the Diebold machines will be voted in. There is no other choice. The sooner you realize that the sooner you can stop wasting our time. You really believe you are more educated on the machines in one day than Sue Ertmer who has spent nearly a year on this? As for the raises. How can you justify giving raises of over 3% to workers after you heard the County Execitive speak of the dire straits we will be in the next budget cycle? Remember the levy cap? The same goes for the Court Comminissioner. Did you really expect the judges to tell you they did not want the position filled. You will understand better when you are faced with cuts to police and social programs in the fall. Again you thought you knew better than the CE who knows the budget inside and out. That may have been one of the most troubling meetings in years.

Actually, I have been researching this subject for much longer than one day. Below are some of the items I have brought up on my other blog in the past:

I will have a more comprehensive post about this tonight, including the information I presented at last night’s meeting. But, this is not a new subject for me – I have been looking at this for some time.

In fact, I put up a red flag as soon as I saw it on the agenda:
